Tips for going to the beach

Consejos para ir a la playa - Costa del Sol

1. Protect your skin

Holidays are short, we know, but we pay a high price for getting too much sun in the long run, so go to the beach as much as you want, but make sure you tan gradually.

2. Take care of your eyes

In addition to your skin, you must also take good care of your eyes, so get yourself some sunglasses that you like to protect them. You have no excuse not to, since there are fortunately now many brands that offer sunglasses that meet all the requirements (good, cute and well-priced).

3. Hydrate

Drink lots of fluids and don’t forget to hold onto your empty bottles until you find a bin to dispose of them.

4. Where to dispose of your rubbish

When you go to the beach, you must take a bag for all your rubbish to then dispose of in an appropriate place.

And, lastly and most importantly: enjoy and recharge your batteries because you are on holiday.

  1. PLease could you clarify which beaches are open to dogs as I have read that despite being decared dog beaches they are now banned from 2015:
El Ejido ( Fuengerola). Arroya Totalan ( Malaga), La Sal ( Caseres)
or if there are any other additional beaches. Is it possible to take g]dogs on beaches out of season as we are planning to stay in the region October – December 2018 . Any advice or help you can offer would be greatly appreciated
    Many thanks
Mandy & Stuart ( and our very friendly well trained & chipped Cocker Spaniel Alfie)

    Dear Mandy

It’s hard to know what will be happening in the last quarter of 2018 as things are continuously changing due to different councils implementing different rules, the most updated info we found can be seen on this page http://www.redcanina.es/playas-para-perros-en-andalucia/ (sorry but it’s in Spanish)

    Hope it helps
