FLECHA DE EL ROMPIDO WILD BEACH

The beach of El Rompido is a special paradise reserved for a few. You have to take a boat to go there and hotel guests do not go there very often because they’d rather stay in the swimming-pool. Kids will love the bustle of coming and going on the boat, and so do we really, so what may seem like a hassle turns into an adventure.

Once you reach La Flecha, you can access the beach via the designated walkways that cross the dune area. Ferry services operate mainly during the summer and depart from different points, so it’s a good idea to check the timetables before planning your day. Once on the beach, you’ll find miles of sand where you can enjoy a day out with the whole family.

Vacaciones en familia El Rompido, Huelva

Travelling to El Rompido with children is a perfect opportunity to combine the beach, nature, sport and a little adventure. To make sure the whole family gets the most out of the holiday, it is worth planning some activities in advance and keeping these simple tips in mind.

Choose activities according to your children’s ages

Not every activity is suitable for all ages. Before booking kayaking, paddleboarding, horse riding or karting, check the minimum age, any height requirements and the conditions for taking part. This will help you avoid surprises and choose the activities that are best suited to the youngest members of the family.

Check timetables and book in advance

Some activities can be very popular during the summer months. If you are planning to visit a water park, go on an excursion, take the boat to the Flecha del Rompido or join an organised activity, check the timetables beforehand and, whenever possible, book in advance.

Keep an eye on the tides and weather

The River Piedras, the marshes and the Flecha del Rompido are some of the highlights of this beautiful natural setting. If you are planning to spend the day at the beach or enjoy water activities, it is a good idea to check the tides and weather forecast before setting off. This will help you plan your day and enjoy the surroundings at your own pace.

Don’t forget sun protection and water

During the summer, you are likely to spend much of the day outdoors, so remember to bring sun cream, a hat, plenty of water and comfortable clothing. For longer excursions, it is also a good idea to take some food and stop from time to time so the children can have a rest.

Combine adventure with relaxation

There is no need to fill every day with activities. A morning of cycling, kayaking or exploring can be perfectly combined with a relaxing afternoon at the beach or by the pool. Alternating more active plans with time to unwind will help both children and adults make the most of their holiday.

Respect the natural surroundings

El Rompido is surrounded by marshes, pine forests, beaches and areas of great natural value. Holidays are also a great opportunity to teach children how to respect these surroundings. Follow the designated paths and walkways, do not leave any rubbish behind, and avoid disturbing wildlife or picking plants. Enjoying nature also means helping to protect it.
